Couples Therapy & Marriage Counseling in Las Vegas & Summerlin

Strengthening & Healing Relationships

Get Started

Investing in your relationship’s health is one of the most important investments you can ever make. Just as you invest time and resources in maintaining your physical health or career development, nurturing your relationship deserves similar dedication to ensure longevity and happiness.

Marriage and couples counseling is not just for those in crisis; it is a valuable resource for any couple looking to enhance their relationship and deepen their connection.

Relationships and marriage should be fun. Think back to when you were first dating when falling in love was natural, and you enjoyed each other. Since then, you may have had kids, more schooling, jobs, bills and stress. Fun and flirtation (including intimacy) may have been replaced by responsibility and survival. If you’ve disconnected over the years or hurt feelings and resentments are getting in the way of you really enjoying your relationship, couples therapy and counseling can help.

The best thing to hold onto in life is each other.

Why couples therapy and marriage counseling?

Marriage counseling provides a structured and safe environment for couples to communicate openly and honestly. It enables partners to express their feelings, needs, and concerns in a way that fosters understanding rather than conflict.

With the guidance of a skilled therapist in the Las Vegas area, you can learn effective communication techniques that can prevent misunderstandings and build a stronger emotional connection.

Many couples who have worked with our Las Vegas therapists report significant improvements in their relationships after just a few sessions. Our specialized approach helps identify underlying patterns that may be sabotaging your connection, allowing you to rebuild trust and intimacy in ways you might have thought were no longer possible.

Take the first step toward a healthier relationship today by scheduling your confidential consultation.

If I know what love is, it is because of you.

Are you prepared for couples counseling?

Some couples don’t seek counseling until they’re emotionally empty. If that’s where you are, don’t worry. We can get things turned around! But please know that it will take YOUR hard work. It’s all too easy to see the massive changes your partner needs to make while holding on to resentment and unwillingness to change yourself

It can be hard work to choose to let go of resentments, soften your heart and be vulnerable again. If you are ready to sincerely do that work, couples counseling can be an incredibly rewarding process. I can help you get back to joy, love and happiness with your partner.

I’d like you to earnestly ask yourself these questions about couples counseling:

-Am I ready to look at and humbly accept responsibility for the pains that I have caused and my behaviors that take a toll on the relationship?

-Am I ready to give this my all?

If you and your partner can both answer “yes!” then, please, contact me and let’s get started. If one or both of you answer “no”, my experience is that couples counseling right now isn’t going to be a good fit. Progress is slow, meaning it takes much longer and is way more expensive. And it just really isn’t fun for any of us.

I’d hate for you to try counseling now when you’re in a “no” place, have it be ineffective or inefficient and then conclude that counseling doesn’t work.  If you can’t offer a whole-hearted “yes!” right now but you want to be in that willing-to-work place, let’s start with some individual sessions.

Hi, I’m Leslie Frederick.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have long had a passion for helping and serving others.

I began my career as a social worker for a local hospice.  I found great purpose in helping families navigate the unpredictable twists and turns that undoubtedly come along with the end of life for their loved ones.  After many years in hospice, I transitioned to a medical social work position in a hospital, which then led me to a Clinical Social Work Intern position in an inpatient psych hospital.  During this time, I enjoyed working with a range of individuals and families.  The vast array of cases I encountered in the hospital allowed me to gain the experience and skills needed to serve a multitude of clients.  I enjoy working with clients of all ages and believe in meeting a client where they are at in order to tailor treatment to meet their individualized needs and work towards their specific goals.

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Northern Arizona University and a Masters in Social Work from UNLV. I am originally from Northwest Indiana and have lived in Las Vegas for over ten years with my husband and our three children. We love living out west and enjoy spending time traveling and exploring our neighboring states.

Hi, I’m Kim Boschee.

I’ve been a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist since 2005. Originally from the Midwest, I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology/English Literature at Illinois Wesleyan University and then finished my graduate studies in Counseling Psychology at Indiana University. I moved to Las Vegas in 2002 to complete my graduate internship, and liked it here so much, I decided to stay!

Whether you are feeling anxious, depressed, or overwhelmed, therapy is a transformative way to safely sort through these emotions. Together, we will create an action plan to promote a sense of empowerment in your life, generating improved well-being as well as sustainable changes. If doing less isn’t an option, then let’s do better.

I love working with couples, families, individuals, and adolescents from the lenses of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Functional Family Therapy (FFT), and the Gottman Method. My career began in the government sector and has included both agency and nonprofit arenas. Currently, I work with clients in a variety of stressful, demanding career fields including medicine/healthcare, business leadership, academia, and financial planning.

Outside of the office, you’ll find me in the mountains or on the golf course; I’ve been a member of Red Rock Search and Rescue since 2020 and am the (very proud!) mom to a competitive junior golfer. I believe in a holistic approach to life and work to weave this mindset in all areas of my life.

courtney burns counselor in las vegas and summerlin nevada | The Peaceful Mind Counseling Center

Hi, I’m Courtney Burns.

Originally from Michigan, I completed my undergraduate studies at Michigan State University (Go Green!) before beginning my career in special education in Lansing, working primarily with children labeled emotionally impaired. I also spent several years in youth corrections and served as a counselor in both a domestic violence shelter and a rape crisis center—experiences that shaped my passion for trauma-informed and compassionate care.

After moving to Las Vegas, I taught general education for ten years while earning my Masters in Counseling. Once that was completed, I moved on to run the counseling department at a private 6-12 Christian school. I now hold my CPC-I, LADC, and school counseling license, and I am trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR through an EMDRIA-approved program, and Gottman Method Level 2 couples therapy.

As the proud parent of two adult children—and a devoted dog lover—I understand the complex emotional landscapes that come with family, connection, and belonging. As a law enforcement spouse, I am especially honored to support first responders and their families.

My approach to therapy is eclectic, integrative, and tailored to your unique needs. I draw from a variety of evidence-based modalities to help you move toward clarity, healing, and meaningful change. Whether you are navigating anxiety, addiction, relationship challenges, trauma, or any major life transition, we will work together to identify what’s holding you back and create a path forward that feels grounded, authentic, and achievable.
