Who is grief therapy for?

Grief comes in many shapes and forms and for many reasons. Each of us handles grief in different ways depending on our situation and loss.

While most people think of grief therapy for the loss of a loved one, there are many other reasons to look for grief counseling and coaching. If you’re experiencing any of the following you may benefit from grief counseling:

  • Loss of a loved one
  • Divorce
  • Break up
  • A loved one moving away
  • Pet loss or death
  • Being fired or losing a job
  • And so much more

And for any of those reasons above, grief counseling can help you find solace and comfort!

The life of the dead is placed in the memory of the living

Hi, I’m Leslie Frederick.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have long had a passion for helping and serving others.

I began my career as a social worker for a local hospice.  I found great purpose in helping families navigate the unpredictable twists and turns that undoubtedly come along with the end of life for their loved ones.  After many years in hospice, I transitioned to a medical social work position in a hospital, which then led me to a Clinical Social Work Intern position in an inpatient psych hospital.  During this time, I enjoyed working with a range of individuals and families.  The vast array of cases I encountered in the hospital allowed me to gain the experience and skills needed to serve a multitude of clients.  I enjoy working with clients of all ages and believe in meeting a client where they are at in order to tailor treatment to meet their individualized needs and work towards their specific goals.

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Northern Arizona University and a Masters in Social Work from UNLV. I am originally from Northwest Indiana and have lived in Las Vegas for over ten years with my husband and our three children. We love living out west and enjoy spending time traveling and exploring our neighboring states.

Hi, I’m Christopher Adams.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with nearly 30 years of experience serving children, adolescents, and adults confronting various mental/behavioral health concerns, including but not limited to: depression, anxiety, stress management, adjustment, and relationship challenges.

I hold graduate degrees in Clinical Psychology and Social Work and have certification as a brain injury specialist (CBIS) and an ordainment as a Christian Minister. I can meet your needs, whether clinical or spiritual. I am an adept clinician with great success giving special attention to fostering health and wellness through therapeutic relationships, exploration, and promoting personal responsibility.

Whether you are an individual or a couple needing psychological and social intervention or Christian counseling, I’m here to support you and work with you to find the peace and stability you seek.
kim boschee licensed marriage and family therapist in las vegas nevada | The Peaceful Mind Counseling Center

Hi, I’m Kim Boschee.

I’ve been a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist since 2005. Originally from the Midwest, I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology/English Literature at Illinois Wesleyan University and then finished my graduate studies in Counseling Psychology at Indiana University. I moved to Las Vegas in 2002 to complete my graduate internship, and liked it here so much, I decided to stay!

Whether you are feeling anxious, depressed, or overwhelmed, therapy is a transformative way to safely sort through these emotions. Together, we will create an action plan to promote a sense of empowerment in your life, generating improved well-being as well as sustainable changes. If doing less isn’t an option, then let’s do better.

I love working with couples, families, individuals, and adolescents from the lenses of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Functional Family Therapy (FFT), and the Gottman Method. My career began in the government sector and has included both agency and nonprofit arenas. Currently, I work with clients in a variety of stressful, demanding career fields including medicine/healthcare, business leadership, academia, and financial planning.

Outside of the office, you’ll find me in the mountains or on the golf course; I’ve been a member of Red Rock Search and Rescue since 2020 and am the (very proud!) mom to a competitive junior golfer. I believe in a holistic approach to life and work to weave this mindset in all areas of my life.

I am a certified EMDR therapist with specialized training in attachment-based therapy, ego state therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy.
